Recent favorites (as of June '06) include The Phantom Limbs and The Primitive Calculators. My long time favorites are Rudimentary Peni, Swans, and Men's Recovery Project. I used to have this list annotated with things like "but only the first album" or "not the later stuff that sucks", but I realized I didn't care that much about it.

I Really Hate: People who listen to music dependent only on genre/clique and not actual musical quality (i.e., most people). Good music is too important to cheapen by being a boring mindless bastard.
